1. Who We Are

Kidz Playlist ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") is published by Insert Click LLC, based in Texas, USA. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use Kidz Playlist on Android or iOS devices.

By downloading, installing, or using Kidz Playlist, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect nothing. Kidz Playlist does not have user accounts, servers, analytics services, advertising SDKs, or trackers that receive your information. We do not know who you are, which videos your children watch, how long they watch, or anything else about your use of the app.

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or other contact information
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
• Browsing or watch history
• Crash reports or usage analytics
• Any information about your children

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide its features, the app stores the following data only on your device using a local database and encrypted device storage. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

4. YouTube API Services

Kidz Playlist uses the YouTube Data API to fetch information about videos and channels that you choose to approve (titles, thumbnails, publication dates, and channel metadata). These requests are made directly from your device to Google's servers.

When a video is played, the app uses YouTube's official embedded player. Playback requests go directly from your device to YouTube/Google.

We do not receive, intercept, or store any data from these interactions beyond caching the video metadata (title, thumbnail URL, etc.) locally on your device for display purposes.

Your use of YouTube content through the app is subject to:

Google may collect information about your device and usage when videos are fetched or played. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

5. Children's Privacy

Kidz Playlist is designed to be set up and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. The app itself is a parental control tool — it does not target children directly for data collection.

• The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
• The app does not require children to provide any personal information to use it.
• Child profile names are chosen by the parent, stored only on the device, and never transmitted.
• All content decisions (which videos and channels are approved or blocked) are made exclusively by the supervising parent.
• The app does not contain any advertising, in-app purchases, or social features.

Because we do not collect any personal information from children or adults, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provisions for children's data, and similar laws in other jurisdictions.

If you believe that a child has somehow provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not collect personal information, so there is nothing for us to share, sell, rent, or disclose to third parties. Specifically:

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not share data with advertisers. The app contains no ads.
• We do not share data with analytics providers. The app contains no analytics.
• We do not share data with data brokers.
• We do not disclose data to law enforcement because we do not possess any user data to disclose.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device and is under your complete control:

• To delete specific data: Remove child profiles, approved videos, or channels within the app's parent area.
• To delete all data: Uninstall the app. All locally stored data (the database and secure storage) is permanently removed when the app is uninstalled.
• No server-side data exists to request deletion of, because we never collect or store your data on our servers.

8. Data Security

Although we do not transmit your data, we take care to protect the information stored on your device:

• Your parent PIN is stored as a one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hash in the device's encrypted secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). The original PIN cannot be recovered from this hash.
• All other app data is stored in a local SQLite database within the app's sandboxed storage area, which is protected by the operating system's app isolation.
• The app does not transmit data over the network except for YouTube API requests necessary to display and play approved content.

9. Third-Party Services

The only third-party service the app communicates with is YouTube/Google, as described in Section 4. The app does not integrate with any other third-party services, SDKs, or APIs.

The app does not include:

• Advertising frameworks or ad networks
• Analytics or crash reporting services
• Social media integrations
• Push notification services
• Third-party authentication providers

10. Content Disclaimer

Kidz Playlist does not create, host, curate, or moderate the content available on YouTube. The parent makes all decisions about which videos and channels to approve or block for each child.

Because content originates from YouTube, we cannot guarantee its accuracy, availability, suitability, or compliance with any particular standard. Some videos may become unavailable, change in content, or be restricted by YouTube after a parent has approved them.

11. International Users

Kidz Playlist is published from Texas, USA. Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no cross-border data transfer. All data remains on your local device regardless of your location.

12. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and others), you may have rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Because Kidz Playlist does not collect or possess any of your personal data on our servers, these rights are effectively self-service:

• Access & portability: All your data is on your device, accessible within the app.
• Correction: Edit any profile or setting directly in the app.
• Deletion: Delete profiles, videos, or channels in the app, or uninstall to remove everything.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the app or on our website.
